On a Tao roll

I’ve been on a Tao roll lately.

To attain knowledge, add things every day.

To attain wisdom, remove things every day.

Trouble is figuring out what I should remove. I never know when I may have to use a piece of that knowledge to put my experiences into perspective. I guess I still haven’t attained wisdom!

I do know that what I choose to retain will be different than what you may choose to retain. What you choose to let go will be different than what I choose to let go. We all find our own paths, even if they ultimately lead to the same place. 

The sea refuses no river.

If it finds its way there at all and doesn’t disappear in the desert, I’d add.
